We were delighted to have the support of E Shopworld who presented four new laptops to Mr Robbie Glynn and his 6th Year Computer Science Class as part of an initiative to support girls studying STEM subjects. Mr Glynn is the Leaving Certificate Computer Science teacher in Loreto College and approx 90 students are currently studying computer science from 4th to 6th year. Sincere thanks to Ms Sharon Scully, Global Head of Human Resources at E Shopworld for their most generous support. The laptops will be used for coding and classroom work in the computer science classes this year. Mr Macnamara wishes to thank all at E Shopworld for their continued support and thank them for their encouragement and promotion to students in the college to follow careers in the STEM area.
