We were delighted to welcome the local old folks group into the school on Tuesday, 9 May for our annual old folks party – the students provided food and entertainment and everyone had a lovely afternoon – thanks to Ms Theresa Sheelan and the members of the prayer group for organising the party and to the many students who provided the entertainment! To mark the 175 anniversary of the Loreto Mission to India students from all the Loreto schools were invited to submit a poem or a piece of art work to reflect this Loreto Outreach. First prizewinners Elena Diez Clarke and Sophie Kinahan each won tokens for €60 with the runners up Abby Duff and Hollie Foy winning €20 tokens each. All the participants were presented with a commemorative tee shirt by Sr. Brigid, co-ordinator of Loreto Mission.
