The Loreto Bake Off begins again for another year –  for 2016/17.  Students who have a passion for baking are encouraged to enter the competition by completing and returning the application form to one of the Home Economics teachers – students do not have to do Home Economics to take part.

Loreto Bake Off Technical Challenge:

In February the Second Round of the Great Loreto Bake Off took place. As part of the “Technical Challenge” the girls had to make two batches of biscuits; one sweet and one savoury. Amber Coyle, Hollie Foy, Sophie Barry Bartley, Shona Walsh and Annabelle Timothy competed in the Junior Category. Lucy Daly and Elaine O’Neill competed in the Senior Category. Ms O’Malley, Ms. McNamee and Ms. Thompson judged the biscuits and had a very difficult job! Shona Walsh and Sophie Barry Bartley are moving onto the next round in the Junior Category. In the Senior Category Elaine O’Neill and Lucy Daly are progressing to the next round.  The next round is the “Show Stopper” and we are looking forward to some amazing cakes. Each of the girls did fantastic work and should be very proud of their produce!  Click here for photos
