Congratulations to Chloe Marks and Lucy Daly of Loreto College who represented The School in the Loreto Bake off Competition in Donegal on 7th May 2014.
Chloe won the overall national award for her Loreto Themed cake and held off serious competition from the other Loreto schools.
Ms Sinead O Leary and Ms Cathy McGrath prepared the girls and travelled with the girls to this event. The home Economics Dept in Loreto headed By Ms Linda Ennis deserve huge credit for all the work involved. Click here for Photos of the Event!
F1 In Schools We are delighted to announce that our school team – ‘Team Accelerate’ received two prestigious awards in the recent competition as part of Technology Week 2014. This competition is very much a male dominated event so it was an honour to be awarded Best New Comer and 3rd Place overall in the Junior Category. Team Accelerate utilised numerous technologies to engineer and manufacture a model car and at the event the girls raced the car along a twenty five meter race track and provided verbal presentations to a series of adjudicators. Thanks to Ms Aoife Whelan for all her work.
