Sci-fest, TU, Dublin (Tallaght Campus) May 1st
Four TY students, Maya, Serena, Bronagh and Ciara along with their science teacher Ms. Kilcawley went to TU Dublin in their Tallaght campus to take part in SciFest. There was 167 projects with 336 students in attendance.This year marked the 20th anniversary of Sci-fest which began in TU, Dublin.Bronagh and Ciara’s project was on the Five Second Rule under Life Sciences in the Biology category. Maya, Serena and Anna’s project was on Black Holes under the Physical Sciences in the Physics category. After presenting their projects the students attended lectures on Space Science and Forensic Science. They enjoyed these very much and were able to learn about these topics in a broader way. Overall the students had a great day and enjoyed being able to engage with others and the judges on their projects.
