Dear Principal

On Wednesday 21st of November, Dublin Bus had to terminate contracts with 2 services providers, who were engaged to provide passenger transport services with immediate effect.  This action was taken due to the contractors not meeting their contractual performance obligations.

Dublin Bus put all affected operating boards up for tender amongst the existing set of bus contractors (as per procurement guidelines). Unfortunately the board affecting  your school did not attract any applicants from this existing set of bus contractors. We have now put this board out to a wider pool of bus contractors with the hope that one of them will bid to operate this run.

This process will take a number of weeks and it is likely that we will not have an outcome until towards the end of February 2019. If there is any news ahead of this time I will revert to you.
