BT Young Scientist 2025

Loreto College swords had two entries that successfully qualified for the B.T young scientist 2025.

550 projects were selected from 2,069 entries that applied from secondary schools in Ireland. This means Loreto College Swords was part of the 26.6% of entries that qualified.                 

The qualifying projects were: Esha Sibi Mathew (3g) with her project Biofluorescence as Renewable Light Energy Through the Form of Cacti under the category Biological and Ecological sciences, Deryn Gosson (4Y), Sarah Doyle (4Y) & Kayleigh Jordan (4Y) with their project Echolocation under the category Chemical, Physical & Mathematical sciences.

It was a great achievement to be part of this event. While the girls were unsuccessful on this occasion to win a prize, they enjoyed taking part and are looking forward to the next science competition.
